Be Strict with Me

Written by: Yoshi

I would like to talk about this weekend. It’ was so nice. Actually, I had been worried about some things that relate to English recently, but my friends cheered me up in this weekend, so my worries were released. On Saturday, I was going to go camping with some Japanese friends who are speaking in English if they are with Japanese, but I refused to go; in other word, I avoided that I am with them because I didn’t want to speak Japanese except something emergency, so I decided to go to Japanese restaurant for lunch with Chinese friend who is my housemate and two Japanese guys who are speaking in English with me.

We went to Asahi, which is Sushi restaurant nearby Tyler mall, to where we can get for fifty minutes by car is really good because we can eat all kind of Sushi as much as we want to pay only twenty dollar; in addition, there are Miso soup, Tempura, Sea food salad and Edamame like that Japanese appetizers theses are usually eaten to go with Japanese Sake(Japanese alcohol) at Izakaya(Japanese pub) in Japan. My Chinese friend who is also my ex-class mate and one year younger than me; moreover, she will move to another apartment next weekend has a car, so she took us to go there.

We arrived at Asahi, and had a seat, then ordered many kind of Sushi. When I was waiting to come Sushi, I could say just “I’m so hungry,” and “I’m starving,” like this kind of words, and I had long time no eaten Sushi, so I was really looking forward to come Sushi. Finally, Sushi was coming to our table, and we were eating without taking. We were satisfied to eat a lot of Sushi at Asahi, and then we took a nap after came back room.

After took a nap I went to one girl’s house to eat dinner with my Korean friend. That girl is my Korean friend’s ex-conversation partner and nineteen years old ; furthermore, she is taking Japanese class in UCR, so my Korean friend wanted to introduce me to her. She made some dishes and a cake for us. After taking and eating dinner, we went to another friend’s apartment where hold a party there are Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Taiwanese, Mexicans and Americans. We enjoyed taking, eating, listening music and playing card game. I had a good time there.

In conclusion, I think that it was better to go to Asahi and a party than to go camping with a lot of Japanese. If I went camping, I would blame myself and mad me about taking too much with Japanese in Japanese. Here is America, I don’t need to speak in Japanese except something emergency. Don’t you think so ? Absolutely I think so.

You are right Yoshi! That's very good that you don't want to be just with Japanese people and I think you are improving your english so much. By the way, I have never tried Japanese food including Sushi! I really want to try, do you recommend it?
