In 2008, my family and I went to Beijing, the capital city of China. It was the best trip in my life. We stayed there for two weeks. Fortunately, the Olympic Games were there.
In the first week, we visited different places. For example, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Tiananmen Square, that is the largest public square in the world, we saw a lot of people from a lot of places around the world. Thereafter, we visited the Great Wall. We enjoyed the walk a long it. It was crowded and great, but it was so hot.
In the second week, we went to the Silk Market, the biggest and the cheapest mall there. On each floor, there is a variety of items. For example, the first floor is only for bags and the second is for dresses and so on. I bought a lot of clothes and accessories.
One day, we went to the Beijing Zoo. We saw the Panda, which is the logo for the Olympic Games, and we saw the elephants, lions and tigers.
In the last three days, we went to Beijing Olympic Games. It was very fan. We saw different people from different countries and cultures. On the first two days, we visited the Bird's Nest National Stadium. We enjoyed the different sports. Then we visited the Water Cube. On the night the colors light of the buildings change between every time and other. On the last day, we saw the closing ceremony. It was great. I like the fireworks, it was so beautiful.
In my opinion, it is the greatest trip in my life. I hope that I will do it again one day, but this time with my husband.
